9/16/07-Happy Birthday Mel!!
Today's Mel's birthday it was so fun to talk to her on the phone. We miss her Steve and Alexis so much. We had a blast with Mel and Alexis this summer. I have posted the pictures from our trip in CA here. It's been so crazy with our new callings and this time of the year always gets very intense with conference. Josh and I are also working on this cool Old Testament project for the Seminary teachers, there might actually be some seminary videos that will keep students awake at 6am in the morning :) Little Jack will be one in a couple of weeks! Time flies we love him so much. He's trying to walk more and more every day. This kid is the coolest little guy I know. He will eat anything. Jackson's favorite thing to suck on are green onions. I know weird, but yummie :) Today at church some of the young women gave me their black jelly beans because they don't like them, like most people would agree. Well I like them and so does Jack, he ate 4! He definitely has my tastebuds.
8/22/07- I know I'm sorry...
Oh man it has been so long since we've written. No excuses I'll just apologize. I don't have a lot of time to write because I need to go to bed it's almost midnight :0 But I just posted pictures from Jack's photo shoot. He is the cutest little guy ever. Here is the link: photo shoot I'll post more pictures soon from our vacations this summer.
5/27/07- Hello!
Sorry it's been forever since I wrote. Life has been so fun and super busy with work. Josh and I have a new slogan: "Work hard, and play harder." So despite having to work so many hours we make sure we play roller hockey every day and we are totally hooked on the tv show Lost. Thanks to our awesome home boy Carter we have season 1 & 2 on DVD. What a cool show.
Basically every day after work we eat dinner then run outside set up Jack in his excersaucer and then we play roller hockey like Wayne and Garth for a couple of hours. We all love being outside so much. The weather in Utah has been beautiful in the evening.
So a lot has happened in the last month. Josh graduated with his Masters! I must say it was so neat to see him walk across that stage, I'm so proud of him. Grammie and Grandpa came out to see Josh graduate which meant so much to us. Plus Jackson got to spend time with his great grandparents and grandparents which was wonderful.

Then Josh turned 26 in May! He's an old fart like me now :) I always tease Josh that I'm older, but it's really only 4 months older. So I actually surprised Josh this year for his birthday. I can never hold my tongue, because I get so excited to tell him, but I kept quiet this year. I got him a 1 hour massage at the Aveda salon in Orem. It was really funny when we pulled up to the mall at 9:45 in the morning. Josh was so confused why we were at the mall. We had to enter the mall through Nordstrom because it was so early in the morning, so he thought we were there to get him clothes. I told him we weren't getting clothes then he asked, "Are we getting chocolate?" I laughed and said no. We finally arrived in front of the salon and I told him he was getting his hair cut and he looked so confused and shocked. Then I laugh and said, "Just kidding you're getting a 1 hour massage." He was so happy because he has wanted one for the longest time now. After he came out he said he could have done that for 1 more hour.

Later on we saw Spiderman-3 and went to dinner at the Bombay House. When we got home our coolest friends in the whole world surprised us and had decorated our bedroom with a ton of balloons and there was yummy candy every where. It was such a fun day and so relaxing for all of us.
Well this blog is long enough :)
Check out the other pictures.
4/9/07-Happy Easter
April has been real fun so far. Jackson received an adorable Easter outfit from his grandma. Tonight some of the Elders Josh taught in the MTC back in Sept. of 2004 came over for FHE. We had a great time. It was really fun to listen to all the stories. We talked about the importance of missions. It's amazing to see how you can touch people's lives and at the same time how much you grow as a missionary.
Work today was fun and quite entertaining with Mr. Jack attack. Today he seems to have noticed his mommy wears glasses and pulled them off my face and poked me in the eye :) I couldn't see for about 5 minutes from my left eye. He is starting to get magic fingers just like his father. We have been going on lots of walks lately. I love it! I point to trees, cars and houses and he squeals at the top of his lungs with excitement. So cute.

3/18/07-Good Times
March has a great month. We have been able to have a lot of family time together. Josh and I went and picked up some roller hockey equipment so we've been playing every chance we get. Jackson has been so funny lately experimenting with his voice. Jackson has also been very kind to help us out with the laundry :)--Look below. Megan left Utah today. I'm actually super sad about that, but excited for her at the same time. We are going to miss her a ton. Josh and Jack were able to sneak in a nap today, they are so cute. They had no idea I was taking pictures of them, so Josh had no chance to dodge the camera this time.

2/18/07-The Grandparents are in town!
Josh's parents flew in this weekend to celebrate Megan's graduation from cosmetology school.
We had dinner tonight with all of them as well as our cousins Rebecca, Travis, and Erin. Dinner was great.
Mom cooked a great roast in the crockpot. Of course, Dad and Josh went shooting, but no pictures this time.
(By the way, I added some pictures to the previous entry so check them out too.

2/04/07-Jackson 4 Months Old!
Wow it's been a crazy month sorry, we haven't written much. We have been super busy with work and just having fun.
I've been on our stake basketball team, which has been a blast. I haven't really played much since I graduated high school
in 1999 :) Josh and I went shooting on Saturday at the range and let me tell you know one better mess with us, because
our aim is getting really accurate. Jackson has been the cutest little guy ever. I will post images soon for the
month of January. He has been rolling over and his favorite thing in the world is to kick like crazy in the bath tub.
Tomorrow he gets his 4 month old shots. That makes me so sad, but he's a tough little guy. A neat thing I was told was
to give your baby Tylenol about 30 minutes before they get their shots so it takes the edge off the pain. It seems
to work well. I turned 26 in January! Yikes I'm getting old, but certainly don't look it. Josh and I went out to eat
at my favorite Japanese Restaurant called Tepanyaki's. They cook the food right there in front of you and throw shrimp
at you to catch in your mouth. It's a lot of fun. This married couple sitting next to us thought I was turning 19 years old.
I don't think so, but thank you. Well I'll get pictures up soon. We had to get Jackson a warm PJ outfit for the night time
because he kicks his covers off and the only outfit we could find is super funny looking.

Here is Jackson hanging with his friends Sydney and Dex

1/07/07-Jackson Sleeps
Jackson finally began sleeping through the night last Sunday night! What a great way to start off the new year. He has slept
for 8 to 10 hours each night since then.
Dad's birthday (jackson's grandpa) is coming up January 10 and Jen's birthday
is on the 14th.
1/01/07-Happy New Year!
This Year sure has passed by so quickly. Obviously the biggest event of 2006 was the birth of our son. We had a fun New Year's Eve going to be before 11pm. If you do not yet have children, you may be wondering why on earth we would go to bed before midnight on New Year's Eve. When you baby sleeps for five hours the first stretch of the night and then only two hours afterwards, you have to go to bed when he does to keep your sanity. Here are a few pics of Jack in his new Sunday outfit.

Christmas was also wonderful. We spent the week in California--Eating at In-N-Out five times. California was great as well as the time we had with family. We also celebrated Josh's grandpa McMaster's 90th birthday December 27. Nearly everyone of Grandpa's posterity was there. It was a touching party. Josh was very happy to be able to spend so much time with his HERO.

12/17/06-Holy Snow
Wow it really dumped on us over the weekend! Look at all that snow.
It was beautiful. I woke up early Saturday morning around 3am to
feed Jackson and I couldn't believe my eyes when I looked out the
window. It was a fun weeked despite having to go to work and finish
a 1500 duplication order for the Music and The Spoken Word production.
Josh, Jack and I took a picture at the Motion Studio backlot,
it felt like a winter wonderland.

12/12/06
Thanksgiving break was awesome. We had a ton of fun shooting and
hanging outh with the family. Jackson, Josh and I came down with a cold shortly there after and that's why we haven't written much. Sorry :( Here's an awesome picture of 2 very tough men. Don't mess with them!

11/12/06
It's been a great couple of weeks. Carter came over and made us dinner, he's so sweet. Josh apparently didn't have enough to eat so he decided to see if Jackson's head could fit into his mouth. Just kidding.
We had an exciting Sunday morning. We had Jackson all dressed up in his cute little outfit from Megan and ready to go to church. Then Jackson decided to poo before we left and while we were
changing Jackson he turned really red and had what we call CB (colon blow). He pooed every where! All over his clothes, the bed and the carpet! Amazingly I dodged out of the way. Josh already had his
run of luck with Jackson earlier in the morning. Josh was puked on and later peed on after we took Jackson out of the bath :) So it was a fun morning.
We love the little guy though and it's definitely times like this that make having a family really fun.
We are excited for Thanksgiving week. Mom and Dad are coming up from CA, and Josh finally gets a break from school! It will be great to relax and spend time with the famn damily.

10/31/06- The Things We Do To Our Kids :)
Jackson has gained 2 more pounds but he still fits inside this cute little pumpkin basket! To see more of his pumpkin photo shoot click here.

10/15/06
Today we had another great day at church. Jackson stayed the whole 3 hours today. Josh took him to priesthood and Jackson decided to grace the class with his presence by letting out the largest fart ever! Everyone looked at Josh and Josh immediately pointed to his son, and the people around him, thought yeah right, blamming it on the baby!

10/14/06
We all made out of labor alive. Many of you probably heard that Jen's epidural decided to wiggle its way out of here spine, leaving her to experience 'real' labor for about an hour. We finally talked the nurse into believing that she was actually in pain and not faking it. We guess they get a lot of winy pregnant women in who over exaggerate. But when Jen began gracing us with her breakfast she had earlier that morning and convulsing, the nurse finally believed. So the doctor came in and pumped her full of some numbing stuff again and it worked. After that everything went by with no pain. "I love technology." After 18 hours of crazy labor, a cold set of forecepts (not that Jen could tell given the drugs), and an episiotomy, the alien known as Jackson was born on October 4. He is doing very well and has been to church with us the last two weeks and went to his very first College Hockey game last Sat. night.

Really, no photoshop fix-up was used. Jen really doesn't seem to have even gone through labor despite the epidural fiasco
8/20/06
The Baby Shower was fabulous! Thank you to everyone
that came, it was wonderful to spend time all together.

8/23/06
It was fun to spend time with Mom this last week. She also got a
beautiful haircut from Megan :) Jen likes to take pictures while
she's brushing
her teeth, incase you were wondering what was in her mouth.
